This is for Robby. Trees to left are part of the NARA PARK where
there are tame deer that will eat out of your hand. What looks
like a building to the right is a wall around a temple. If you
look closely you can also see a stone lantern beyond the woman
in the foreground. Children come from all over Japan to visit
the Temples and Shrines in NARA. It was the first capitol of Japan
in about the 3rd Century.

Japanese boy just about your size. These are stores where the
Japanese people buy their clothes and food.

September 1953: The Big Bell in Nara, Japan -
It is a religious symbol. When struck by the timber it can be
heard for a distance of about 4 miles and the tone can last for
over two minutes. It weights over 46 tons and is made of bronze.
The building is constructed of interlocking beams. Nails were
not necessary in this building.
